TORONTO (May 28, 2026) Today, Rogers premier television network Citytv announced the return of its big nights of entertainment with fan-favourite hits and unmissable live events that reaffirm Citytv’s position as a powerhouse destination, reaching more than 27.7M Canadians** through live and on-demand viewing combined.

NEW & RETURNING SERIES AND LIVE EVENTS FOR 2026/27:

New this fall is Line of Fire, an intense drama that follows a family of law enforcement agents as they bridge personal differences and cross professional boundaries while tackling cases for the FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, Secret Service, and Department of Justice. Line of Fire stars Peter Krause, Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom, and Charlie Barnett.

Coming to Citytv in January 2027 is The Rockford Files, a contemporary update on the classic NBC series of the same name. Newly paroled after doing time for a crime he didn’t commit, James Rockford (played by David Boreanaz) returns to his life as a private investigator, using his charm and wit to solve cases around Los Angeles. It doesn’t take long for his quest for legitimacy to land him squarely in the crosshairs of both local police and organized crime.

NEW AND RETURNING CANADIAN ORIGINALS FOR 2026/27:

Earlier today, Citytv announced the return of its hit original series Hudson & Rex this fall with an action-packed 12-episode season. John Reardon returns as Detective Charlie Hudson and is reunited with his trusted canine-partner Rex, alongside returning cast members Mayko Nguyen (Dr. Sarah Truong), Kevin Hanchard (Superintendent Joseph Donovan), Justin Kelly (Tech Analyst Jesse Mills) and Luke Roberts (Detective Mark Hudson).

Come On Down, Canada! Citytv original series The Price is Right Tonight has been renewed for Season 2 with production slated to begin this June in Toronto. Airing on Citytv this fall, The Price is Right Tonight Season 2 has special episodes featuring some of the NHL’s biggest stars and festive holiday cheer.

Plus, Emmy® Award-winning actor Luke Kirby joins the cast of Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent in Season 4, returning this fall on Citytv. The award-winning series will see Kirby play new character Detective Sergeant John Darcy, who is called up from Guns & Gangs to partner with Detective Sergeant Frankie Bateman (played by Kathleen Munroe) in Homicide. The series is produced by Lark Productions and Cameron Pictures in association with Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Citytv, a subsidiary of Rogers Sports & Media.
